Raisin spice cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• cinnamon
• salt - 1 tsp
• nutmeg - 1 tsp
• cold water - 2 c
• baking powder - 2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 3/4 c
• sifted flour - 3 c
• raisins - 2 c
• cloves - 2 tsp
• soda in 1/2 c - 2 tsp

How to make raisin spice cake:

Cook first seven ingredients together and let come to a boil but do not boil. When cool, add remaining ingredients. Put in a 13 x 9-inch pan (batter will be thin). Bake at 350° for 25 minutes for aluminum pan, or 325° for 25 minutes in glass pan.
