  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp

How to make raisin spice cake:

Boil on low heat raisins and 1 cup water until water disappears. Then add balance of ingredients. May add nuts, if desired. Bake in bread pan at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes. (This cake keeps very well.)
