Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- margarine, softened - 1 Tbsp
- whipping cream - 2 c
- ground nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- bacon slices - 12 item
- pie crusts - 2 item
- natural Swiss cheese, shredded 1 c - 1/4 lb
How to make quiche lorraine:
Fry bacon, drain and then crumble. Preheat oven to 425°. Spread crumbled bacon into pie crust. With wire whisk, beat eggs, cream, salt and nutmeg. Stir in cheese. Pour egg mixture into crust. Bake 15 minutes, then turn oven control to 325° and bake an additional 35 minutes.Quiche is done when knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
