Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 3 item
  • light cream
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 3/4 c
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • grated Swiss cheese
  • slices bacon - 6 item
  • unbaked 9-inch pie shell

How to make quiche lorraine:

Cook bacon until crisp. Remove from skillet and crumble. Drain off fat. Return 1 tablespoon fat to skillet. Add onion and cook until tender, but not browned. Place bacon, onion and cheese in pie shell. Blend together eggs, cream, salt and pepper. Pour over mixture in pie shell. Bake in oven at 375° until mixture is firm and light brown, about 45 minutes.
