Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 3 item
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 4 tsp
  • dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
  • grated Cheddar cheese
  • milk or light cream - 1 c
  • pie crust - 1 item
  • diced ham or cooked bacon - 1 c

How to make quiche lorraine:

Dredge cheese in flour, then sprinkle cheese and ham evenly into pie crust. Combine eggs, milk, salt and mustard. Beat until smooth. Pour over cheese and ham mixture. Bake at 400° for 40 to 45 minutes. Make sure crust does not burn. Cool slightly and serve.

If you make a 9-inch or 10-inch pie, double the eggs, milk and dry mustard.
