Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 32 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • carton sour cream - 8 oz
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • chopped onion - 1/3 c
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 3/4
  • margarine, melted - 1/2 c
  • Cheddar cheese, grated - 12 oz
  • corn flakes, crushed - 2 c

How to make hash brown casserole:

Spread hash browns in 9 x 12-inch pan. Saute onion in margarine. Mix with soup, cheese, sour cream and salt. Pour over hash browns. Top with crushed corn flakes. Drizzle with melted margarine. Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes at 350°.
