Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- sour cream - 3/4 c
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 Tbsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- sifted flour
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- chopped onions - 3 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- chopped chives - 1 Tbsp
- beaten egg yolk - 1 item
- Filling:6 slices bacon
How to make quiche:
Filling:6 slices bacon3 c. chopped onions2 beaten eggs1 beaten egg yolk3/4 c. sour cream1 Tbsp. flour1/2 Tbsp. salt dash of pepper1 Tbsp. chopped chives Sift dry ingredients; cut in butter or margarine. Add milk, one tablespoon at a time. Toss until flour is dampened. Gather into ball. Pat 2/3 of dough in bottom of 8 x 1 1/2-inch round pan. Prick dough. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. Turn oven down to 325°.Filling: Fry bacon until crisp; drain. Cook onions in part of bacon fat until tender. Combine bacon, onions and remaining ingredients. Pat remaining dough around edge of cooled pan. Pour filling into crust. Bake at 325° until almost set, about 20 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Cut in wedges and serve. Makes 10 to 12.
