Pumpkin nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/4 c
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- canned pumpkin - 1 c
How to make pumpkin nut bread:
Sift together first six ingredients. Combine pumpkin, sugar, milk and eggs in mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients and butter. Mix until well blended. Stir in nuts.Spread in well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake in 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Makes 1 loaf. Bread may be frozen.
Note: For 2 loaves, use 1 (No. 303) can pumpkin and double the ingredients.
