Pumpkin cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 4 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• brown sugar - 1/2 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• baking powder - 1 tsp
• pumpkin - 1 c
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1 c
• margarine
• nuts if desired - 1 item
• confectionary sugar - 1 tsp

How to make pumpkin cookies:

Frosting:3 Tbsp. margarine1/2 c. brown sugar4 tsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1 tsp. confectionary sugar Mix shortening, sugar, pumpkin and egg thoroughly. Add and mix soda, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Add and mix the flour. Drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. For frosting, cook margarine, brown sugar and milk until the sugar is dissolved. Cool. Add vanilla and confectionary sugar. Frost cookies when cool.
