Puffy cheese bake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- light cream - 1 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
- shredded American cheese
- dash of cayenne red pepper - 1 item
- slices bread, buttered - 4 item
How to make puffy cheese bake:
Heat oven to 350°. Butter baking dish, 8 x 8 x 2-inch. Cut each slice of bread diagonally into 4 triangles. Line bottom and sides of baking dish with bread triangles. For a crown effect, place 8 triangles upright against sides of dish. Arrange remaining triangles on bottom of pan. Beat eggs slightly; add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour mixture into baking dish. Bake, uncovered, 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 4 servings.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Appetizers, Cheese.
