Pretzel salad
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- carton whipped topping - 1 oz
- sugar, divided
- crushed pretzels - 1 c
- can pineapple, drained - 1 oz
How to make pretzel salad:
First Layer: Combine pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar and margarine.Second Layer: Combine cream cheese, whipped topping and 1/2 cup sugar.
Cook together, stirring constantly, the drained pineapple, 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch until mixture is thick and cool. In an 8 1/2 x 11-inch pan, spread first layer. Top with second layer, spreading evenly over top. Spread on pineapple mixture; chill. Recipe can be doubled using a 9 x 13-inch pan.
