Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • whipping cream - 1/2 pt
  • sifted cake flour - 3 c
  • eggs, at room temperature - 6 item
  • butter 2 sticks, at room temperature - 1/2 lb
  • vanilla or 1 vanilla and 1 tsp - 2 tsp

How to make pound cake:

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Alternate cream and flour. Add flavoring. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°.
