Poppy seed cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil
- soda
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- poppy seed - 1/3 c
- can evaporated milk - 1 oz
- sifted plain flour - 3 c
How to make poppy seed cake:
Heat oven to 325°. Flour and grease a 10-inch tube pan. Sift together flour, soda and salt. In large bowl blend sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla; beat until mixture is well blended. Gradually add sifted dry ingredients, beating well after each addition. Stir in pecans and poppy seed. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until done when tested. Let cool.
