Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • 8 oz - 2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
  • can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted - 1 3/4
  • sliced, peeled raw potatoes - 3 c

How to make potato sausage casserole:

Brown sausage; drain and set aside. Combine soup, milk, onion, salt and pepper. In a greased 2-quart casserole dish, layer half of the potatoes, half of the soup mixture and half of the sausage. Repeat ending with sausage. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven, uncovered, for 2 minutes.
