Portuguese bean soup
Ingredients/Components
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- soy sauce - 1 item
- chopped carrots - 2 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
- stalks celery, diced - 5 item
- kielbasa sausage - 1 lb
- small potatoes, chopped - 3 item
- large can kidney beans, drained - 1 item
- head cabbage, grated or chopped - 1/2 item
How to make portuguese bean soup:
Cut sausage into pieces and fry with garlic and onion. Cook until half done. Drain. Put in a large soup pot. Add potatoes, carrots, beans, tomato sauce and 5 to 6 cups of water. Add spices to taste using lots of soy and Worcestershire. Bring to a boil, cover and let simmer 1 1/2 hours.
