Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- water - 1/2 c
- white vinegar
- small beets
- pickling spice, tied in a small bag - 1 Tbsp
How to make pickled beets:
Cook beets in salted water until tender; peel, cut and pack beets in hot sterilized jars. Combine vinegar, water, sugar and spice. Bring to boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove spice bag. Pour over beets and seal jars.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Condiments, etc., Salads.
