Persimmon pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- sifted flour - 1 c
- whipped cream - 1 item
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- soda, dissolved in 1/2 c - 2 tsp
- strained fresh persimmons 2 or 3 large, ripe - 1 c
How to make persimmon pudding:
Mix ingredients in order given. Grease one pound coffee can well; fill 2/3 full. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Tie with string. Steam at least 2 1/2 hours. Take out of water and cool. Serve with whipped cream.Recipe categories: Fruit, American, North american.
