Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- large onion - 1 item
- top round steak
- or 6 bell peppers - 5 item
How to make pepper steak:
Gravy:2 c. water2 beef bouillon cubes1 Tbsp. sugar2 Tbsp. cornstarch2 Tbsp. soy sauce Cut peppers, onions and steak into strips. Cook peppers and onions in skillet for 10 minutes and set aside. Brown steak lightly in skillet.To make gravy: Bring 2 cups water to a boil and add 2 bouillon cubes and 1 tablespoon sugar. Make a paste of 2 tablespoons cornstarch and a little water. Add bouillon cube mixture. Add 2 tablespoons soy sauce and boil a few minutes more. Combine with peppers, onions and steak. Heat thoroughly. This is delicious served over steamed rice.
