Pepper steak
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- oleo - 1/2 c
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- round steak - 2 lb
- green peppers, cut in strips - 2 item
- can stewed tomatoes or 2 c - 1 lb
How to make pepper steak:
Melt oleo; sprinkle beef with garlic powder and saute; stir until brown. Remove meat and add onion and green peppers. Saute 2 minutes. Return meat to skillet along with tomatoes and beef cubes and simmer 15 minutes or until tender. Blend together cornstarch, sugar, soy sauce and water. Add to meat mixture and cook until thick.
