Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 qt
- mustard seed - 2 oz
- sweet green peppers - 12 item
- sweet red peppers - 12 item
- celery seed if desired - 1 item
- large/15 medium onions - 12 item
How to make pepper relish:
Wash peppers and onions; remove pepper seeds. Put through food chopper or grinder. Cover with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes. Drain well and put in large kettle. Add remaining ingredients. Cook until onions are transparent, about 30 to 40 minutes. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.Recipe categories: Sauces, Salsas, Jams and preserves.
