Pepper relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 pt
- large onions - 3 item
- sweet green peppers - 6 item
- sweet red peppers - 18 item
How to make pepper relish:
Grind peppers and onions, or chop finely. Cover with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes. Drain and repeat. Drain dry. Add vinegar, sugar and salt. Cook 15 minutes and pack in hot sterilized jars; seal. Process in water for 15 minutes.If hot relish is desired, substitute hot peppers for part of the sweet.
