  • regular yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • melted oleo - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • dark corn syrup
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c

How to make pecan pie bars:

Take out 2/3 cup of cake mix to be used later. Mix the rest with melted oleo and egg. Pat into 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350° or until lightly browned.

In a large bowl, mix the 2/3 cup reserved cake mix, brown sugar, syrup, eggs and vanilla. Beat at medium speed. Pour filling over crust. Sprinkle with the 1 cup of pecans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the filling sets up at 350°.
