Pecan pie

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• eggs - 3 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/8 tsp
• butter - 1/4 c
• pecans - 1 c
• white corn syrup - 1 c

How to make pecan pie:

Preheat oven to 450°. Beat eggs well. Add remaining ingredients in order given. Turn into unbaked pie shell and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° and bake 40 to 45 minutes longer. When cool, cover with meringue if desired, or serve with sweetened whipped cream garnished with pecan halves. (Use no substitute for white syrup.)
