- sugar - 5 c
- firm ripe peaches, peeled and sliced - 2 qt
How to make peach preserves:
Combine peaches and sugar in a heavy pot and let stand overnight. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Boil gently until fruit becomes clear and syrup is thick. Stir often to prevent sticking.
