  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • egg yolks - 2 item
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • mashed bananas - 2/3 c
  • sour milk - 4 Tbsp

How to make banana cake:

Mix together first 4 ingredients. Sift together sugar, soda, flour and salt. Add to first mixture and beat. Then add the mashed bananas and fold in 2 stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake about 1 hour at 350°.
