Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- medium onion - 1 item
- oregano - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- cloves garlic - 3 item
- basil leaves, crushed - 1 item
- can Italian tomato paste - 1 oz
- large can Italian tomatoes - 1 item
- Italian sausage hot or mild - 1 lb
How to make spaghetti sauce:
In large heavy pot, brown the sausages. Brown very well on all sides. Peel garlic. Peel and cut up onion. Brown garlic and onion in fat from meat. Put paste in pot.While paste is cooking, about 10 minutes, cut up tomatoes. Add tomatoes. Add 1/4 tomato, can of water, salt, pepper, oregano and basil leaves. Let simmer about 3 hours. While sauce is cooking make meatballs.
