Ingredients/Components
- oysters - 1 qt
- oyster liquor - 2 c
- heavy cream - 2 c
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- celery salt - 1 item
- pepper - 1 item
How to make oyster stew:
Bring 1 cup of the oyster liquor to a boil and when it has cooked for 5 minutes, skim off the top, which will be foamy. Add the cream, butter and seasonings to taste. Cook the oysters in the other cup of liquor until the edges curl (about 5 minutes). StRecipe categories: Main dish, Shellfish, Stew.
