Oven fried fish
Ingredients/Components
- Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
- yellow cornmeal - 1/3 c
- canola oil - 2 Tbsp
- seasoning salt - 1 tsp
- slightly beaten egg white - 1 item
- fresh or frozen cod or tilapia fish - 2 lb
- seasoned, fine, dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
How to make oven fried fish:
Coat baking pan with canola oil. Set aside. Thaw fish if frozen. Rinse and dry with paper towels. Cut into 4-inch pieces.Preheat oven to 425°. Heat baking sheet. Stir together bread crumbs, cornmeal, salt and Parmesan cheese. Mix well. Dip each fillet in egg white, then the crumb mixture. Place fish on preheated baking sheet. Bake, uncovered, 6 to 8 minutes (depending on thickness of fish) or until fish flakes easily.
