  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt
  • water - 1 c
  • diced onion - 1 item
  • tapioca - 3 tsp
  • medium potatoes - 3 item
  • celery, chopped - 1/2 c
  • tomatoes - 1 c
  • stew meat - 2 lb
  • slice bread, cubed - 1 item
  • small carrots - 6 item

How to make oven beef stew:

Cut carrots in strips; peel and quarter potatoes. Combine all ingredients (do not brown meat). Put into a 3-quart casserole. Bake, covered in 325° oven for 3 1/2 hours. Freezes well.
