Oven beef burgundy
Ingredients/Components
- boneless beef chuck - 3 lb
- medium carrots, quartered - 8 item
- medium sliced onion - 1 item
- medium green pepper, diced - 1 item
- 5 oz
- tapioca or 1/2 c - 1/4 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 oz
- Burgundy or other dry wine - 3/4 c
How to make oven beef burgundy:
Preheat oven to 275°. Cut beef into large cubes and put in roaster; do not brown. Add layers of carrots, onion, green pepper and mushrooms. Mix tapioca, bread crumbs, allspice, salt, pepper, tomatoes and wine together in separate bowl and pour over beef. Cover tightly and bake for 3 hours at 275° or until meat is tender.
