Oven barbecued steak
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- catsup - 3/4 c
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- prepared mustard - 1 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/8 tsp
- round steak, cut 3/4-inch thick - 3 lb
How to make oven barbecued steak:
Heat oven to 350°. Cut steak into 10 equal portions. Pour oil into skillet. Brown each piece of steak. Transfer to a roasting pan. Add onions to oil in the skillet and brown lightly. Add the rest of the ingredients to make a barbecue sauce and stir and simmer 5 minutes. Pour the sauce over the steaks in the pan. Cover. Bake 2 hours or until meat is fork-tender.
