Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• eggs - 3 item
• chopped nuts - 1 c
• butter - 1 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• buttermilk
• plain flour - 4 c
• orange juice
• grated orange rind - 2 Tbsp
• pitted dates - 1 lb

How to make orange date nut cake:

Filling:1 c. orange juice2 c. sugar2 Tbsp. grated orange rind Mix and bake about 2 hours at 300°.

Filling: Mix well; let stand while cake cooks. Pour over cake when done. Let cake set in pan until cool.
