Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• eggs - 2 item
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 1 c
• butter - 1 c
• water - 3/4 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• dates - 1 c

How to make orange date bars:

Add 3 tablespoons hot water. Spoon about 1/2 of batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Cover with date mixture. Sprinkle 1 cup nuts and 1 cup chopped orange slices over all, then spread the rest of batter over all. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
