Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 item
- saltine crackers, crushed - 12 item
- can mushroom soup undiluted - 1 item
- medium onions, sliced any sweet onion - 4 item
How to make onion casserole:
Melt butter and cook onions in it until tender. Butter a casserole dish. Line with cracker crumbs. Add layer of onions, then layer of soup until dish is full. Beat eggs and add in milk, salt and pepper. Pour over top of casserole. Sprinkle cheese on top and add a few more cracker crumbs.
