Ingredients/Components
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- whole eggs - 2 item
- stewing chicken, cut in pieces - 1 item
How to make old fashioned chicken and dumplings:
Simmer chicken slowly, until tender, in salted water to cover. Cut margarine into flour and eggs; mix well. Roll thin as for pastry. Cut in narrow strips. Drop into boiling water with chicken and cook for 10 minutes or until done. Yields 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Main dish, One Dish meal.
