Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- coconut - 1 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1 item
- margarine - 1/2 c
- hot water
- quick oatmeal - 1 c
- Pour 1 1/2 cup hot water over mix
How to make oatmeal cake:
Place margarine and oatmeal in mixing bowl. Pour 1 1/2 cup hot water over mix. Let set for 20 minutes. Sift together sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and soda. Then add 2 eggs and mix. Add to the first mixture all at one time; mix well. Pour into a well-greased and floured 13 1/2 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Icing:1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. brown sugar6 Tbsp. butter or margarine1/4 c. milk nuts coconut Mix all ingredients.
