Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- melted butter
- boiling water
- nuts - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- cream - 4 Tbsp
- white sugar - 1 c
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1/2 c
- quick oatmeal - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:6 Tbsp. melted butter1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. brown sugar4 Tbsp. cream1 c. coconut1/2 c. nuts Pour boiling water over oatmeal and margarine and let stand for 20 minutes. Fold in other ingredients. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Topping: Mix ingredients together and spread over cake. Put under broiler about 1 minute. Can substitute canned milk for cream.
