  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • melted butter
  • boiling water
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • cream - 4 Tbsp
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • plus 2 Tbsp - 1/2 c
  • quick oatmeal - 1 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Topping:6 Tbsp. melted butter1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. brown sugar4 Tbsp. cream1 c. coconut1/2 c. nuts Pour boiling water over oatmeal and margarine and let stand for 20 minutes. Fold in other ingredients. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Topping: Mix ingredients together and spread over cake. Put under broiler about 1 minute. Can substitute canned milk for cream.
