Oatmeal cake and topping
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 6 Tbsp
- boiling water
- margarine - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- cream or milk - 1/4 c
- Mix well
- quick-cooking oatmeal - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake and topping:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal and margarine and let stand 20 minutes. Mix well. Add eggs, vanilla, white sugar and brown sugar. Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg and add to mixture. Pour mixture into a 9 x 13-inch greased and flouredRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, American.
