  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • evaporated milk - 1/4 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • nuts - 1 c
  • oatmeal - 1 c
  • Cream together the sugars and butter

How to make oatmeal cake:

Mix together the oatmeal and boiling water; set aside to cool. Cream together the sugars and butter. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together; add everything to oatmeal. Bake for 45 minutes at 350° in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Glaze while cake is warm.Glaze:6 Tbsp. butter1/4 c. evaporated milk1 c. nuts2/3 c. brown sugar1 c. coconut1 tsp. vanilla Melt butter; add other ingredients. Spread over warm cake.
