Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1/4 c
- coconut - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- nuts - 1 c
- oatmeal - 1 c
- Cream together the sugars and butter
How to make oatmeal cake:
Mix together the oatmeal and boiling water; set aside to cool. Cream together the sugars and butter. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together; add everything to oatmeal. Bake for 45 minutes at 350° in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Glaze while cake is warm.Glaze:6 Tbsp. butter1/4 c. evaporated milk1 c. nuts2/3 c. brown sugar1 c. coconut1 tsp. vanilla Melt butter; add other ingredients.
