Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- finely chopped pecans - 1/3 c
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/3 c
- paprika - 2 tsp
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- , cut up - 1 broiler-fryer
- dried sage - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk biscuit mix - 1 c
How to make nutty oven-fried chicken:
In a shallow dish, combine biscuit mix, pecans and seasonings; mix well. Dip chicken pieces in milk; coat generously with pecan mixture. Place in a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Drizzle butter over chicken. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour or until juices run clear. Yields 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Whole chicken.
