My mom's chocolate cake
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour
- white sugar - 1 c
- sour milk - 3/4 c
- baking cocoa - 1/3 c
- lemon or vanilla extract - 1 item
- egg shortening - 1 item
How to make my mom's chocolate cake:
Cream the first 4 ingredients together. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add sugar mixture and sour milk alternately to the flour and mix well. Pour into two 8-inch greased and floured round pans or a 9 x 13 x 2-inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until it tests done.
