My mom's cranberry sauce
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 2 c
- water - 2 c
- white sugar - 2 c
- celery, chopped
- apple, diced - 1 item
- large or 2 small boxes strawberry jello - 1 item
- fresh or frozen cranberries, washed - 1 lb
How to make my mom's cranberry sauce:
Mix cranberries, sugar, water and apple in a large pot and boil gently until all berries pop, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and add jello. Mix well. When cool, add celery and pecans. Refrigerate. Freezes well. Makes a half gallon.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low sodium, Condiments, etc..
