Mushroom casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Velveeta cheese, cubed - 1/2 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- large chopped onion - 1 item
- cans sliced mushrooms - 2 oz
- finely crushed saltine crackers - 1 c
- light cream half and half - 1/2 c
How to make mushroom casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Saute onion in butter; drain mushrooms, reserving 3/4 cup of liquid. Combine eggs, cream, mushrooms and liquid, spices and saltines; add onion and cheese and mix well. Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake covered for 30 minutes. Remove cover and continue baking for 30 minutes more.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Low Carb.
