Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 1 pt
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- curry powder - 1 Tbsp
- chicken stock - 1 qt
- onion, chopped fine - 1/2 c
- small clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- raw apple, peeled and chopped - 1 item
- dash of pepper, freshly ground - 1 item
How to make mulligatawny:
Melt butter in the pot in which soup will be made. Add onion and crushed garlic; cook over low heat until the onion is soft. Remove garlic; add flour and curry powder. Cook 2 minutes. Add milk and chicken stock which have been cooked over hot water until smooth. Add apple, peeled and chopped, 10 minutes before serving. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper (just a dash).
