Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Italian seasoning
- melted butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- dry bread crumbs - 1 c
- sticks string cheese or Mozzarella, cut into 4 x 1/2-inch sticks - 12 item
How to make mozzarella sticks:
In a small bowl, beat eggs and water. In a plastic bag combine bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and pepper. Coat cheese in flour, then dip in egg mixture. Repeat egg and bread crumb coating. Cover and chill for about 4 hours or overnight. Place on ungreased baking sheet; drizzle with butter. Bake uncovered at 400° for 6 to 8 minutes or until heated through. Allow to stand 3 to 5 minutes. Dip in your favorite sauce.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Appetizers, Side dish.
