Mountain apple cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter
- oil
- soda - 1 tsp
- apples, chopped - 3 c
- pecans and black walnuts, chopped and mixed
How to make mountain apple cake:
Topping:1/2 c. butter1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 350°. Mix eggs, oil and sugar; blend well. Stir flour, salt, soda and cinnamon together; add to egg mixture. Add vanilla, apples and nuts; mix well. Pour into greased 8-inch tube or Bundt pan. Bake 1 hour.While cake is still hot, pour hot topping over it in pan. Let cool. When completely cooled, remove from pan. (Check cake at 50 minutes with toothpick, if toothpick comes out clean, leave cake out, it will finish baking with its own heat.)
Topping: Combine all ingredients; cook 2 1/2 minutes. Pour immediately over cake in pan.
