  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • vanilla extract - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • oil
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • apples, chopped - 3 c
  • Mix eggs, oil and sugar; blend well
  • pecans and black walnuts, chopped and mixed

How to make mountain apple cake:

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix eggs, oil and sugar; blend well. Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon. Add to egg mixture. Add vanilla, apples and nuts. Mix well. Pour into greased 8-inch tube or Bundt pan. Bake 1 hour. While cake is still hot, pour hot topping over it in pan. Let cool. When completely cool, remove from pan. (Check cake at 50 minutes with toothpick. If it comes out dry looking, leave it out and it will finish baking with its own heat.)Topping:1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. milk1/2 c. butter1 tsp. vanilla Combine all ingredients. Cook 2 1/2 minutes. Pour immediately over cake in pan.
