  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salad oil - 3 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • small green pepper, diced - 1/2 item
  • can tomatoes - 1 oz
  • large onion, sliced - 1 item
  • mild taco sauce - 1/2 c
  • medium red pepper, sliced - 1 item

How to make mexican meat pie:

Preheat oven to 425°. Grease 12-inch pizza pan. Prepare hot roll mix as label directs, but use 1 cup water and omit eggs. Do not let dough rise. Press 1/8-inch thick onto bottom and sides of pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

Brown ground beef in skillet. Stir in tomatoes with their liquid, taco sauce and salt. Boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook 10 minutes. While meat is browning, in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook onion and peppers until tender. Spread ground beef mixture on top of crust. Sprinkle with onion mixture. Bake for 10 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
