Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salad oil - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- diced onion - 3/4 c
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- can tomato paste - 16 oz
- salt to taste - 1 item
- Mozzarella cheese - 8 oz
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- box cottage cheese - 1 oz
- box lasagna noodles - 18 oz
- water or tomato juice - 1 c
How to make lasagna:
Brown beef and onion in hot oil. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, salt, sugar, pepper and oregano. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain.In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish, spread some sauce. Alternate noodles, 1/3 sauce and 1/2 cottage cheese. Add 1/3 Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers, ending with Mozzarella cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
