Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • chili sauce - 1/2 c
  • cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
  • lean ground beef - 1 lb
  • instant minced onion - 1 Tbsp
  • Topping:1 egg
  • bell pepper flakes - 2 Tbsp
  • slices crisp, crumbled bacon - 6 item
  • to 10 stuffed olives, sliced - 8 item
  • or 9-inch deep-dish unbaked pie shell - 8 item
  • whole kernel corn with sweet peppers, drained - 1 can

How to make mexican meat pie:

Topping:1 egg2 Tbsp. milk1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. dry mustard1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Heat oven to 425°. Beat egg slightly in mixing bowl. Add ground beef, corn, cracker crumbs, chili sauce, sweet pepper flakes and onion. Mix well. Press mixture firmly into the pie shell. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.

While it bakes, combine the topping ingredients. Spread the topping on filling, top with olives and bacon. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese melts. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing. Serves 6.
